Tim Spradlin: Home

Hi everyone, it is such a pleasure to bring you my music. I have been singing for a long time. This is a way to make my music available and to keep everyone current on dates I will be performing. TimBru Productions was created with the help of Bruce Mclaughlin so that we could produce our own shows. In 2006 we produced THE LAST FIVE YEARS a show I was very proud of.

With the success of the Cabaret Series in the summer of 2007 we are gong to do it again. I have set five dates this year (2008) and will do everything from Cole Porter to 50‘s and 60‘s Pop. I have many wonderful special guest so take a look at my Calendar and please stop in and see us.

In March of 2008 it was my pleasure to play the part of Edward Rochester in Footlite Musicals production of “Jane Eyre”. I had such a good time. I did learn something. I can’t wait so long between musicals. I had to work very hard to get back in the grove. Brian is an amazing director and the cast was extraordinary. I will have very fond memories of it and miss everyone very much.

In the summer of 2007 I was requested to be commencement speaker at the Oakland City University Graduation. It was such an honor. Oakland University provides is an education to the ladies in “The Women’s prison”. Over the years I have performed for them and over New Years performed the “Cosmic Garbage Man”, an inspirational talk about putting out the junk in our lives. I had a very good time and was proud to be the speaker at the graduation. I will never forget this and wish all the graduates well.

In the summer of 2007 I did something a little crazy. I set out to “Put more Cabaret on the Map”. I put together a group of shows called, FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE WITH TIM SPRADLIN. We did four different shows on four Friday nights in a row with a special guest each night. Some said it would never sell and others said it would be a hit. Our stage was set in a small room at UNITY OF INDIANAPLIS. The seating capacity was 52. In my mind I was thinking I would get about 35 to 40 a night. The first night we had a full house. On night two we had a big weekend in Indy and so many things going on so we just had 46 people come ( I was so sad NOT). On week three we had so many people we had to move to the auditorium and the same for the last night. I am happy to say that Cabaret is alive and well and the people here in Indianapolis do get it. This was hard but gratifying work. I had to learn 18 or more new songs each week and at the same time prepare for my next CD. It has been a busy and productive summer.

Thanks to the people who helped me Bruce, Fran, Joanne, Megan, Dillon and Sheila, I thank you so much. Thanks also to my guest performers, Anne, Lori and Denise for bringing your voices to my shows. This was just what I needed to bring back faith in cabaret in Indianapolis. Thanks also to Jeff for the help with the set. Thanks most of all to Matt and Loesje for accompanying me. We did something that not many would try. I don’t like to play small and I am happy to say I don’t play small alone.

In 2005 I recorded my first CD, “Belt, Ballad and Blues” now available on CDBABY.COM You will find a link to this website. I have been in talks with my dear friend Lori Ecker who performed with me in THE LAST FIVE YEARS about a follow up play. So be on the look out.

Thank you for taking some time with me and remember how important it is to support the arts in your area.

Very truly yours,

Tim Spradlin
